Amazon has a winter staple in many households on sale today as a Lightning Deal. It’s funny because I was looking at this humidifier just yesterday thinking that the sale price wasn’t bad at all for a humidifier and aromatherapy diffuser in one. Then I saw this morning it had been dropped even further from the sale price of $46.99 to only $35.99! A total of 59% off the original price. You’ll need to hurry, though, as these Lightning Deals are limited in quantity. As of this writing, they are 22% sold — still plenty left!
A humidifier is generally a must in our house during the colder months but it has been especially important the last few days as we have a little boy with a big cold. Humidifiers can help to ease cough, congestion and throat irritation when a family member is sick (or getting sick) but they’re also helpful for dry winter skin and noses and chapped lips. This model allows you to add aromatherapy/essential oil into its pull-out tray which makes the vapor smell great, as well. Using an oil such as eucalyptus can help easy cold symptoms, too.
This Patec Teardrop Shape Humidifier is small but has a pretty good output of 350 ml of steam per hour so it can run up to 5 hours at full blast without needing to be refilled. It’s reported to be very quiet, which is great for sleeping. The only information I couldn’t find was whether or not it’s a cool or warm mist model. Some people prefer a cool mist around children to avoid any hot water hazards. One review eluded to the ability to select either warm or cool but I’m not positive. That would be a great option!
This humidifier also has some other neat features. The teardrop spout spins a full 360 degrees so you can angle the vapor in any direction. It has an LCD light that changes 7 different colours, emitted a soft light for your room; acting as a nightlight. It’s small enough for a night table but with a pretty reasonable 1.3 L capacity. It’s also awfully cute, if you’re at all concerned about such things (like me). Am I the only one who thinks the labels and buttons look like a sleeping face, topped by a cute hat?
