I've been shopping around for a mattress, and while this one didn't meet my needs, it sure is a sweet price. It's a king-sized pocket coil euro-top design, sold by Shop.ca via Bad Boy Furniture. Bad Boy was selling the mattress for $498 last week, $1398 this week (http://ift.tt/1jaxUJM). It looks like they will only ship in southern Ontario.
The brand is "Bassett", which seems to be the name of a chain of bedroom-furniture places in the US, but it looks like Bad Boy is just using the brand, as Bassett's web site doesn't show them having any private-label mattresses (http://ift.tt/1jaxUJU). Bad Boy has this mattress on display, so you can visit and test it out.
Based on my shopping around, I'd say that this is almost certainly manufactured by Kingsdown (a reputable Canadian manufacturer) and the Bassett label applied for Bad Boy as a store-brand label (as Bassett mattresses don't seem to be sold anywhere else). The design is very close to that of other Kingsdown products, and the labels specifically are in the exact same style.
$398 for the mattress plus $40 shipping plus HST comes to $494.94, then that would be discounted by $25 to $469.94 if I checked out via PayPal (http://ift.tt/1jaxVgS).
Add in a $125 platform bed (http://ift.tt/1jaxXFq) and you've got a nice new king-sized bed shipped to your door for under $600 all-in.
I thought this mattress was comfortable enough (at least as much as other pocket-coil euro-top mattresses I tried), but my girlfriend needs a very firm mattress, and this was too soft for her. It felt like it was well made (again, on par with other competing major brands).
