3-Day East Canada Tour from Vacances Sinorama
After departing from Markham early in the morning, the tour bus heads to Kingston—home to a historic locomotive, Queen's University, and Royal Military College. It's one of three cities you'll visit on the first day. After Kingston you'll head to Ottawa, where you'll see stately Rideau Hall, the official residence of the Governor General of Canada, and its manicured gardens. The day's last stop is Montreal. You'll have time to grab dinner while exploring Chinatown or Old Montreal's art galleries and shops. At day's end, kick up your feet in a comfortable room at the Holiday Inn Express Downtown Montreal or a similar 3-star hotel.
Day 2 begins with an early-morning departure for Quebec City; the drive takes about three hours. The Old Quebec City district is a UNESCO World Heritage site with numerous historical riches, including Château Frontenac, built in 1893, and the Parliament Building. Stop to see Montmorency Falls, a towering waterfall about 30 meters higher than Niagara, on foot or via cable car. Afterwards, you'll head back to Montreal.
On the last day, you'll visit Montreal's Olympic Park, the site of the 1976 summer Olympics. Many of the structures still stand, including the main stadium. The structure that hosted the cycling and judo events now serves as the Montreal Biodome. Here you can explore replicas of four of the Americas' ecosystems: a North American forest, a South American rainforest, an estuary, and the Arctic. (There are resident animals, too.)
Lastly, you'll take a boat tour to the Thousand Islands region, where you'll see beautiful, forested islands amid waters once patrolled by pirates and bootleggers. The tour concludes around 9 p.m. in Toronto.
