Construction is very solid, advertised to hold ice up to 10 days (I doubt it will do that in real usage but still, looks pretty decent).
One of the very positive reviews on Amazon:
I took the family out camping and we had this chest, a Coleman Extreme and an igloo brand cooler. This thing beat them all hands down! Ice lasted the whole trip, 3 days. I did keep it in the shade, but I did that with all of them. The Coleman Extreme didn't last a day after a long drive in the truck, I think the lid may have popped open a few times. After my trip the pelican went back in the 100F+ garage where she kept ice for 5 more days. That's a 8 days total 3 with kids being in and out of it.
