RedFlagDeals.com Forums - Hot Deals http://ift.tt/1F8xJMc
Ok, so this is a VERY niche thing and definitely not for everyone.
But, I wouldn't consider myself a professional videographer/photographer by any means and still got one. Just not sure yet if it's one of the coolest things or stupidest things I've ever bought :)

If you're interested, it starts at $699 now (vs retailing for $1000+ later). So might be a hot deal if you've been looking for one of these drone things.
Basically, you can take your camera up in the air and get some awesome aerial shots:
What I liked about this drone in particular:
- It can follow you (nothing new..other drones can do this too)
- It has obstacle avoidance (although I'm not sure if it would sense power lines in time....)
- Prop arms come off. So if it crashes, you just replace the arms, not necessarily the whole thing. Plus it makes it easy to pack away
- You can attach more than just a gopro! I have a Sony Action Cam and they'll have a mount for that too... (The Sony's AMAZING by the way, arguably better then a gopro!)
- The landing gear moves away so it doesn't get in the way
- They're Canadian and part of Ryerson University's Digitnal Media Zone (I don't know them personally but I trust that they'll be able to deliver- plus it's always nice to help a Canadian start up!)
Plus they're getting decent press/ reviews:
"If there was a list of features we wanted on a ready-to-fly drone, it might well read like PlexiDrone's spec-sheet" - James Trew, Engadget
So what do you think? Stupid or cool?
