I picked up this Belkin surge protector (which I needed anyway) for $5.99 and the total after taxes (free shipping) came to $145.45. Had to go for a better brand NAS after the $99 + tax Buffalo LinkStation I ordered from London Drugs was DOA. This seems like a good price point for a QNAP, even if it is low end. This may not be a good choice if you have high streaming needs. I'm just looking for a RAID box for personal files (pictures, videos, docs, etc.).
This is nearly equivalent to getting the NAS for $122 + tax, which seems hot.
