Personal experience so far:
Enrolled in Jan 2015 the Good Sam Auto Platinum Plus Roadside Assistance for my family of three (our son is under 25 to be eligibly included in the family plan) and paid USD79.99 no tax added. The plan covers all three of us driving any car.
Received two personalised membership cards with my name and now ordered 2 more cards free of charge under the names of my spouse and son.
My son called the service yesterday for the first time to jump start the car battery which was left outdoor for two days under extreme cold alert conditions in southern Ontario. The location was some where remote near Georgian Bay. The control centre spent 20 minutes on the toll-free phone line with my son to pin point his location and predicted waiting time of 75 minutes. The mechanic turned up in less than 10 minutes. Excellent service!
