Inside Pacific Mall in Markham, in the basement level, there is a 2 floor "$2 store" called Ichiban Living that carries a lot of different items that cost $2. But unlike Dollarama, products are mostly sourced from Daiso (Japanese 100 yen stores) so I wouldn't be surprised if you can find this at a Daiso (I'm looking at you Vancouver).
It's a simple charger that feels very high quality, the plastic isn't rough, the retractable cable(70cm) is a little on the thin side but the retracting mechanism works very well. I got this so that I use a power bank to charge when I'm out and about.
I tried plugging the USB my computer, Windows gave me a "Power Surge On Hub Port: A USB device has exceeded the power limits of its hub port" error but appeared to be charging, so most likely this cable is charge-only and not data.
